Another highlight of this year! When you happen to come here in summer you won't notice anything special: an unspectacular small village surrounded by mountains and woods and lots of green fields. Only in late autumn when the trees on the formerly green fields are losing their yellow leaves you will be struck by the fiery red color of the branches. These are basket willows whose long flexible rods are used to make baskets. The rods are harvested over the winter. The willows will grow new rods over the summer. This old tradition of basket weaving is still alive in this tiny village. -A very good workshop by David Santiago.
