"The purple hill" is a rather small area, with the huge mine dump of the latest pit as an impressing backdrop. It's distiguishing mark is an old hill of purple slag. Apart from that it's a typical lost mining place with derelict buildings and evaporation basins formerly used for the extraction of ferrous sulfate, a small pond, and partly dried mud, thus combining several different typically industrial elements.
